This is a film about two young people from very different backgrounds who meet and fall in love. Unfortunately it is the early 1960’s and Florence’s parents are cold and seem focused only on themselves. As a result of their inability to educate her properly in matters of love, on the young couples wedding night the trauma and fear from her first experience of sex destroys their relationship. She even goes so far to suggest to save the relationship an open marriage which Edward then rejects. I thought it was a good film with good acting. My favourite scenes were when Florence was playing her violin with her quintet. I’ve since heard that this particular film may not be doing that well at the box office as its viewings have already been reduced a lot at the cinema. My rating for this film would be 7/10.
