I had an idea that I would attempt to do a blog about my favourite radio station Hot Gold Radio. Most mornings I wake up to Sparkey, he knows loads about 70’s 80’s and 90’s music. My favourite songs he’s played so far include “I Love Your Smile” by Shanice, and “Kids in America” by Kim Wilde. The catch-phrases are brilliant, my favourite being “Do you remember when toilet paper was like grease proof paper?” and the other one being “Do you remember when things cost a penny?” (My other half does, ha ha). Sometimes it feels like that Sparkey does not stop for breath. His way of doing the papers is very individual and nothing like I’ve heard before. I have MS and quite a bit of the time feel negative within myself, but Hot Gold Radio makes me smile and is a good and positive start to my day.
On a final note on a separate topic, the new 5 news programme is brilliant, and I wish both 5 News and its viewers all the very best. Take care, many thanks for reading this blog.
