I’m greatly looking forward to watching the Eurovision song contest. I love it so much every year. We buy pop-corn and soak up the atmosphere at home. Below are my top three favourite entries for 2021. They’re all unique. I do not support anymore the UK entry as I am a firm believer in Democracy. The British people watching should have the right to vote for the artist or the song to represent the UK. The BBC now chooses both and is wrong on this, let’s not forget it’s the taking part that counts the most.
First choice: Tick Tock. Sung by Albina for Croatia.
Albina, an attractive blonde singer, and her dancers do a superb job collectively. There’s some great catchy lyrics and some top-notch choreography.
Second choice: Birth of a New Age sung by Jeangu Macroony for the Netherlands.
This song sounds very hopeful and, in an unusual way, I think of the Disney film Moana when I hear it. Its lyrics are clear and the songs message is a powerful one – in my view good overcoming evil.
Third choice: Technicolour sung by Montaigne for Australia.
The Australian entry is another good song from them, and they know how to stage it with both good dancing & strong vocals, and Montaigne herself wearing some very trendy silver jewellery.
Sadly my other half confirmed that 2 out of the 3 above songs were eliminated in the first semi-final: Croatia and Australia. I also think the Azerbaijan entry which did make it to the final may do fairly well. Click on the link to see the first semi-final itself:
